7.3. Movie Configure
Select this submenu with ▲/▼ button,
and use ◄/► or OK button to enter it.
There are four items contained here:
Aspect Ratio: Keep, Discard
Subtitle Specification: Big, Normal,
and Small.
Subtitle Background: Transparent, Gray,
Yellow-green, and White.
Subtitle Font Color: Red, Blue, Green, White
and Black.
Use ▲/▼ button to select an item, and use
◄/► to shift the options. Press EXIT button
to quit.
7.4. PVR Configure
Select this submenu with ▲/▼ button, and use
◄/► or OK button to enter it. There is only
one item contained here:
Record Device
Press ►/ OK button to check the relevant
information about the record device, EXIT to
return.
7.5. USB Software Update
Select this submenu with ▲/▼ button, and use
◄/► or OK button to enter it. User is sup-
posed to respond to the inquiry in two ways:
OK: Start. Press OK button to start update
the software through the USB device.
EXIT: Quit. Press EXIT to cancel current
operation and quit.
Use OK button to confirm and EXIT button to
return.

RECEIVER MAINTENANCE

Be sure to turn the unit off and disconnect
the AC power cord before maintaining the unit.
Keep the unit clean. If the surface is extremely
dirty, wipe the unit with a piece of dry soft cloth
in stead of alcohol, benzene or other
chemicals. Do not use compressed airflow
to remove dust.
Let the designated technician maintain the unit
when problems arise.

DEfINITION Of TERMS

DVB MPEG-2
DVB is the abbreviation of Digital Video
Broadcasting, which is a standardization
group. DVB-T is one type of DVB mode
(T=Terrestrial). MPEG is the abbreviation
of Motion Picture Experts Group, a working
group which defines international standards for
audio and video digital compression.
The MPEG-2 standards are mainly applied
in digital TV signals.
Subtitles
There are printed lines appearing at the bot-
tom of the screen which are the translation or
transcription of the dialogues. They are recor-
ded on DVD discs and displayed in one of up
to 32 languages.
fEC
FEC stands for Forward Error Correction,
applied to correct signal transmission errors
between antennas and the receiver.
PID
The PID code (Packed Identification) is
the identification number of audio and video
signals in the digital data flow/stream of DVB
MPEG-2 signals. With this code, the receiver
transmits audio and video signals to a specific
address.
