All six month, check the efficiency of the safety devices, the inspection should be performed by qualified personnel of FIORENTINI s.r.l. or authorized by it. To grant the efficiency of the safety devices, the machine should be overhauled by a technician of FIORENTINI every 5 years.
FIG. 5 DESCRIPTION The UBF 38 power sweeper has been designed to perform a complete cycle of industrial and urban cleaning. The sweeping action is carried out by one or more side brushes which convery the waste towards the centre of the machine, where a central brush, a roller, sweeps it “into the hopper”. The dust is suked up and controlled by a turbine.
INSTALLING THE BATTERIES Install the batteries on the proper compartment. Inspect batteries carefully before installing, thus making sure that there are no cracks in the cases. Never add electrolyte if batteries have been in use for one week or longer. For positive connections of the batteries, the surfaces which get in contact with them should be clean.
MACHINE START-UP AND SET-UP If the scrubber is connected to the battery charger (having finished the charge operation), detach the battery charger plug from the socket (located on the machine) coming from the battery (fig.). Then, connect the plug of the machine to this latter (fig.). Close the battery cover again. Before operating the sweeper, check the oil level inside the hydraulic unit tank.

ADJUSTMENT OF DUST SEALING GASKETS The dust sealing gaskets should skim the soil. To adjust them, loosen the fastening screws and lower the gasket support. When finished, fasten the screws again. FIG. 9 1) closing flap jack 2) container lifting jack HOW TO RELEASE THE MACHINE To tow the machine it is better to release the hydrostatic transmission turning the lever in the open position.
MAINTENANCE MAINTENANCE SCHEDULE WEEKLY Check the brush condition. Check if the suction filters are clean. MONTHLY Check the brush wear state. It should not exceed half of its height and should freely slide within the brush-holder. Check that the air-intakes are not obstructed and that the fan is working properly. EVERY SIX MONTHS Check the carbons condition on each motor.
In any case, before re-operating a battery which is inactive for a long period of time, recharge it and check for a correct level of the electrolyte. SUCTION SYSTEM The suction system includes a fan controlled by the hydraulic motor. It is used to suck the dust produced by brush rotation.
FIG. 13 1) filter shaker motor 2) connector CAUTION Any maintenance or repair not included in the standard maintenance operations should be performed by skilled technicians authorised by company Ing. O. FIORENTINI.
