CHECKING THE CYLINDER
1. Inspect:
Exhaust port carbon deposition

Use a rounded scraper
CAUTION:
Avoid scratching the aluminum.
2. Inspect:
Cylinder wall
●
Score marks → Repair. Use #400∼600 grit
wet sandpaper.
Damage → Rebore or Replace.
3. Measure:
Cylinder wall wear
●
Measure the cylinder bore in parallel to and
at right angles to the crankshaft. Then, find
the average of the measurements.
