When using your blender, you should always follow basic safety precautions, including
the following:
READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USING YOUR OSTER
REVERSIBLE MOTOR TECHNOLOGY.
1. To protect against electrical hazards, DO NOT immerse the cord, plug or motor base
in water or other liquids.
2. Always use the product on a clean, flat, hard, dry surface. There should be no
material such as a tablecloth or plastic between the unit and surface.
3. Avoid contact with moving parts.
4. Keep hands and utensils out of jar while blending to reduce the risk of severe
personal injury or damages to the blender.
5. If scraping is necessary, turn the power off and use a rubber spatula.
6. DO NOT use the appliance with a damaged cord or plug, after the unit fails to work
correctly, after you drop or damage the product in any way. Take the product to the
nearest Authorized Oster
7. The blade is sharp. Handle it carefully when emptying the jar or while cleaning it.
8. To reduce the risk of injury DO NOT leave the blade sitting out or exposed, always
completely assemble the blade to the jar before putting on the base and always put
the lid on the jar before operating the blender.
9. When blending hot liquids, beware of steam. Remove the jar lid food chute from the
lid to allow steam to escape.
10. DO NOT use outdoors.
11. DO NOT allow the cord to touch hot surfaces or hang over the edge of a table or
counter.
12. Unplug the blender when it is not in use, before taking off or putting on parts, and
before cleaning.
13. NEVER leave the appliance unattended while it is running.
14. You risk personal injury, fire or electric shock if you use attachments, jars or parts
other than those recommended by the manufacturer.
15. Supervise children closely when they use or are nearby appliances.
16. DO NOT blend boiling liquids in the blender.
17. The use of attachments and processing assembly parts not recommended or sold by
the manufacturer may cause risk or injury to persons.
18. The maximum rating marked on the product is based on the attachment that draws
the greatest load. Other attachments may draw less power.
19. Maximum running time for product is 3 continuous minutes.
20. This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced
physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless
they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a
person responsible for their safety. Children should be supervised to ensure that they
do not play with the appliance.
21. Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children, or
incapacitated individuals.
