Filter Cartridge Replacement - Omnifilter SFM3 Installation Instructions Manual

WHEN TO CHANGE THE CARTRIDGE
The life of the cartridge depends on the water volume used and the
substances in the water. Normally the cartridge should be changed at
intervals of 6 to 12 months. Replace the cartridge sooner if the water
pressure at the faucet begins to drop noticeably or if you notice changes
in the taste, color, or flow of the filtered water.

FILTER CARTRIDGE REPLACEMENT

NOTE:
We recommend that you change the 1100R cartridge every 6 months

and the 800R cartridge every 12 months, or when you notice a change
in taste, odor, or flow of the water being filtered.
Read all instructions before replacing filter cartridge.

1. Relieve pressure by turning off water supply to the filter and
dispensing water from the faucet.
2. Twist cartridge away from the locked position
position and remove cartridge
3. Line up arrow on replacement cartridge with the unlocked position on
head and firmly push cartridge into head
locked position .

4. Turn on water and check for leaks. If leaks are found, see
Troubleshooting, page 5.
NOTE: A water cartridge may contain carbon fines (very fine black
powder). This will be released during your initial flushing.
5. Flush water through filter for 5 minutes to remove carbon fines.
Check for leaks again before leaving installation.
NOTE: Use only genuine OMNIFILTER replacement cartridges for best
results. Failure to use OMNIFILTER replacement cartridges will void
your warranty.
