If you have more than one drive, either you or preferably your dealer may perma-
nently change the address of all after the first, to avoid having to run the program on the
previous page before each use of multiple drives. The only tools needed to make the
change are a Phillips-head screwdriver and a sharp knife.
STEPS TO CHANGE THE DEVICE NUMBER ON HARDWARE
1. Disconnect all cables from drive, including power.
2. Turn drive upside down on a flat, steady surface.
3. Remove 4 screws on bottom that hold drive cover together.
4. Carefully turn drive right side up, and remove case top.
5. Remove 2 screws on side of metal housing covering the main circuit board.
6. Remove housing.
7. Locate the device number jumper. It will be a small round silvery spot (solder pads)
on the main circuit board.
8. Make the cut by completing the cut already nearly separating the two halves of the
jumper.
9. Replace the metal housing and its 2 screws.
10. Replace case top, carefully turn drive upside down, and tighten 4 case screws.
11. Re-connect cables and power up.
Note:
If
your needs change later, a cut jumper can be restored with a small dot of
electrical solder. However, do not attempt this yourself unless you are already
skilled at electronic soldering.
