The MICON has the ability to trigger and reset up to 10 alarm channels from an alarm generator, such as Guardian’s AG17. It also displays two summary alarms in the form of LED indicators. The inputs for these are located on the MICAB and are a simple dry contact format. -

Be sure all the MICON connectors are properly plugged into the MICAB receptacles. Use the [LMP TST] key to verify that all the MICONs are set up without identical station numbers.
- Page 24 Guardian Telecom Inc. Installation Programming Operation Merge/Isolate Zone Control System The MICAB does not accept Alarm instructions from one particular MICON. The MICON may be programmed to block the ALR SET, ALR CLR and ALR RST keys. Convert the MICON back to recognize the Alarm instruction keys by pressing the [PVT] key and the [LMP TST] key simultaneously to get into the programming mode.
