1. To fill with water, remove the lid and pour
fresh water to below the "MAX" water level
mark, which is 1 liter. (Figure 1)
CAUTION: Do not exceed the "MAX" water
level mark indicated on the kettle.
2. Put the lid back on the kettle with ribbed
spout strainer lined up with spout. Lift the
plunger up and turn clockwise to have the
axle of the plunger clipped on the lid.
3. Position the power base on a flat, heat
resistant surface, as close as possible to a
power outlet.
4. Place the kettle on the base and plug the
electric cord into an electric outlet. (Figure 2)
5. Turn the switch ON by pressing the ON/OFF
button ( ). Once the temperature indicator
lights up make sure the light is marked on
195°F.
6. The water starts to heat and once the
water reaches boiling 212°F the indicator
begins to flash and the unit switches off.
Note: Once the water has cooled slightly,
the unit will turn on and off to maintain the
temperature at a constant 195°F. The unit
will automatically switch off after 25 minutes.

7. Immediately after the water has boiled and
the unit has shut off, carefully remove the lid
and add the desired amount of coarse grind
coffee. (Figure 4)
8. Then stir well into the water within 2
minutes of the time the power switch
and the red light go "OFF". This ensures
that the extraction starts at the optimum
temperature of 195°F
9. Carefully place the lid back on the kettle
and turn clockwise to unclip the axle of the

plunger and push the plunger handle down
slightly so that the ground coffee is covered
by the water. Do not push down all the way.
10. Rich, full-bodied coffee flavor will be
extracted at the perfect temperature in 5
minutes. After extraction, slowly press the
plunger down into until it stops. (Figure 5)
11. The coffee is now ready to serve! (Figure 6)
Tip: If you do not plan to drink the coffee
within 20-30 minutes transfer and hold
the brewed coffee in a thermal carafe to
retain its flavor and temperature. Reheating
the coffee by any means can increase the
oxidation and result in flavor degradation or
possibly a mild burnt flavor.

The taste of tea is personal, but it is recommended to use
1 to 2 tablespoons depending on tea type per "cup"
of water (average cup 5oz) use more or less tea leaves
according to taste.
