Need help?
Do you have a question about the HCD-EC50 and is the answer not in the manual?
Questions and answers
The system reads disc but does not play
The Sony HCD-EC50 system may read discs but not play them due to a malfunction in the CD mechanism, issues with the laser pickup, or problems with the signal processing circuitry. The manual advises removing all discs before carrying the system to protect the CD mechanism, suggesting that misalignment or damage could affect playback. Additionally, solder bridges on IC pins or faulty electronic components could disrupt the playback function. Checking the CD mechanism and ensuring proper electronic connections may help resolve the issue.
