    SYSTEM OVERVIEW Congratulations on your ownership of an Ademco Alarm System. You've made a General wise decision in choosing it, for it represents the latest in alarm protection technology today, including microcomputer technology to monitor all system status. Ademco is the world's largest manufacturer of security systems and millions of premises are protected by Ademco systems.

    SYSTEM OVERVIEW The burglary protection portion of your system must be turned on or "armed" Burglary Protection before it can sense burglary alarm conditions and sound an alarm. Your system can be armed in one of four modes: STAY, AWAY, INSTANT and MAXIMUM. Refer to the ARMING THE SYSTEM sections of this manual for instructions on using these modes.

    ABOUT THE OPTIONAL KEYPADS General The keypads feature a telephone style (digital) keypad and a Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) which shows the nature and location of all occurrences. The keypads feature a built-in sounder which emits the same alarm sounds as the control's built-in warning buzzer during alarm conditions.

    BURGLARY PROTECTION ENTRY/EXIT DELAYS The burglary protection portion of your system has preset time delays, known as General exit delay and entry delay. When you arm your burglary protection, exit delay gives you time to leave through the entry/exit door without setting off an alarm. Entry delay gives you time to disarm the burglary protection when you reenter through the entry/exit door.
