Changing the Backlight Time Length

The backlight setting lets you select how long the display screen and
keypad are illuminated after the handset is opened or any key press is
made.
To change the backlight setting:
1. Press the left softkey

6. Use the navigation key to select:

3 Seconds, 7 Seconds, 15 Seconds, 30 Seconds,
Always On, or Always Off for the On setting.
•
1 Minute, 2 Minutes, 5 Minutes, 10 Minutes or Always
On for the Dim setting.
•
7 Seconds, 15 Seconds, Always On, or Always Off for
the Keypad setting.

:
Long backlight settings reduce the battery's talk and standby
times.

Changing the Contrast of your Displays

The Contrast setting adjusts the contrast of your main and front LCD
screens. You can adjust the contrast if you have difficulty viewing the
screen, particularly in sunlight.
To change the Contrast setting:
1. Press the left softkey
for MENU.
for Settings.
for Display.
for Backlight.
for On, for Dim, or
to save and exit.
for MENU.
