2. Hold the motor unit (b) while pressing the
spindle lock button (f).
3. Insert the cutter shaft (v) in the collet (i).
4. Tighten the collet nut (j) using the
17 mm wrench.
5. To remove the cutter, hold the motor shaft while
pressing the spindle lock (f).
6. Using the 17 mm wrench, loosen the collet
nut (j) a few turns and remove the cutter.
Replacing the Collet (fi g. 5)
The Laminate Trimmer is supplied with an 6 mm
collet fitted to the tool. Two additional precision
collets are also supplied to suit the cutter used.
1. Loosen the collet nut (j) completely.
2. Remove the collet (i) and replace it.
3. Tighten the collet nut (j).
NOTE: Never tighten the collet nut (j) without first
installing a router bit in it. Tightening an empty collet
nut, even by hand, can damage the collet (i).
Depth of Cut Adjustment (fi g. 3, 4)
WARNING: To reduce the risk of
injury, turn off and disconnect it from
the power source before installing and
removing accessories, before adjusting
or when making repairs. An accidental
start-up can cause injury.
1. Select and install the desired cutter. Refer to
Inserting and Removing a Cutter Bit.
2. Insert motor into base, ensuring base is
attached to the adjustment ring (c). Place
laminate trimmer on the work piece.
3. Open the locking lever (p) and turn the depth
adjustment ring (c) until the cutter touches the
work piece. Turning the ring clockwise raises
the cutter while turning it counterclockwise
lowers the cutting head.
4. Turn the micro adjustment scale (d) until the 0
on the scale lines up with the pointer on the
quick release tab (o).
5. Turn the depth adjustment ring until the pointer
lines up with the desired depth of cut marked
on the micro adjustment scale.
NOTE: Each mark on the adjustment scale
represents a depth change of 0.5mm.
6. Close the locking lever (p) to lock the base.
Attaching the Dust Extraction
Adaptor (fi g. 8)
The dust extraction adaptor (w) can be attached
to the front of the sub base underneath the locking
lever as shown in figure 8. Hand tighten both finger
screws (x) and attach a vacumm hose to the dust
exhaust port (y).

Proper hand position requires one hand on the
motor base with the other hand on the motor cap
as shown.

Starting and Stopping the Motor

To turn unit on, pull the on/off switch (a) up. To turn
the unit off, depress the switch back down into the
motor housing. Refer to Figure 2.
Using an Edge Guide (fi g. 1)
An edge guide is included with your laminate
trimmer for use with non-piloted bits on curved or
straight applications.
1. Remove the screw (u) in the back of the fixed
base.
2. Slide edge guide into edge guide slot (r) on
back of fixed base. Tighten hardware.
NOTE: To remove the edge guide, reverse the
above procedure. After removing edge guide, always
replace the screw (u) into the storage hole on the
back of the base to prevent it from being lost.
