HOW
TO
USE
ACCESSORIES
WITH
YOUR
ZENITH
STEREO SYSTEM
Jacks are provided
on
the
back
of
your stereo
unit
to allow
connecting
optional
equipment.
See
page
6.
TO
USE
AN
EXTERNAL
TAPE PLAYER
DECK,
Connect
the output cables
of
the
external
tape
unit
to
the
AUX
INPUT
Jacks. Set
FUNCTION
Selector
on main
unit
to
AUX.
FOLLOW
THE
DIRECTIONS
SUPPLIED
WITH
THE
EXTERNAL
UNIT.
Note, With the external
tape
player
connected
to
the
AUX
INPUT
Jacks,
you
will
have
the use
of
both the
built-in
and
external
tape playback
units.
TO
USE
AN
EXTERNAL
TAPE
RECORDER/
PLAYER DECK,
To
connect
the
playback
section of
the
external
tape
unit,
follow
the
Instructions
above
under "TO
USE
AN
EXTERNAL
TAPE PLAYER
DECK." To
connect
the recording section
of
the
external
tape
unit
first
unplug the
two
pin
plugs (White
and
Red)
of
the
built-in
tape
unit
from the
TAPE
RECORD
or
TAPE
OUT
Jacks.
Connect
the
input
cables
of
the
external
tape
unit
to
the
TAPE
RECORD
or
TAPE
OUT
(White
and
Red)
Jacks.
Set
FUNCTION
Selector to
program
source (AM,
FM
etc.)
and
FOLLOW
THE DIRECTIONS SUPPLIED
WITH THE
EX-
TERNAL
UNIT.
NOTE, With
an
external
tape
recorder
/player
connected,
the recording
section of
the
built-in
tape
unit
is
not
opera-
tive.
