has not been used for a period of
twoweeksor longer. H YDROGEN
GASIS EXPLOSIVE. Toprevent
the possibilityof damageor
injury,if you havenot used hot
water for two weeksor more, or
moveinto a residencein which
the hot water systemmay not
havebeen used for some time,
turn on all hot water faucetsand
allowthem to run for several
minutesbefore using any
electrical appliancewhich is
connectedto the hot water
system. This will allow any
hydrogengas to escape. Also,
since the gas is flammable, do
not smoke or use an open flame
or applianceduring this process.
