Chaining Patterns
The
Chaining
function
allows
two
or
more
patterns to
be
chained together so
that
they
are
played
as
one.
This
is
useful
for
any rhythm
pattern consisting
of
more
than 16 steps
{e.g.
1
step—
_|
or
odd
times
such
as 5/4
or
7/8).

numbers

The

To

the Chain, hold the

This
Chain
function
naturally
is
available
for
the
adjacent
patterns.
When
one

chained
rhythm
patterns
is
erased,
the
Chain
itself will
disappear.

In
the
above
score,
the
third
beat
is
1/16
triplet,
therefore
a
rhythm
cannot be
made
in
one
pattern.
To
solve
this
problem,
divide the
rhythm
pattern
into
3
patterns;
1,
2
and
3,
then
set the scale
and
last
step
of
each
pattern.
Write these patterns then chain
them
into onfe
pattern.
