Never point the camera directly towards a bright light source (for ex- ample sunlight), or expose the camera to intensive light situations as this may damage the camera pick-up device.

    360° continuous pan rotation and manual variable speed control at 0.1-100°/second. Because of its attractive compact design and with its low profile (at only 5"), the RapidDome makes the perfect choice for applications where aesthetics are critical. RapidDome is available in two standard dome assemblies; a false ceiling mount and a plug and play pendant.

    1. Setting up the RapidDome 1.1 Wiring Details 1.1.1 Mounting The RapidDome is designed for speed of installation and set up and so the wall and ceiling mount brackets are supplied pre-wired. Customer Chapter 1 wiring is via an internal terminal block PCB which is located inside the base plastic cover.

Installing the RapidDome Note: When handling the RapidDome, DO NOT touch the acrylic, or any sensitive or precision parts, as this will cause damage to the unit. 2.1 Installation Process 2.1.1 Ceiling and Wall Mounted Models Figure 7, below, details the ceiling and wall mount brackets, including dimensions.

  • Page 22 2.1.6 False Ceiling Model Note: The RapidDome is designed to be mounted in a flat ceiling installation. Mounting the RapidDome in an angled ceiling installation will affect the units center of gravity and, consequently, programmed tours will be affected.

    Connection to one twisted pair output using long cables - use the ‘daisy chain’ method detailed above instead. If separate cables are brought back from the RapidDome to the transmitter then the code distributor (ADCD8TP) must be used to provide individual RS485 output to the cameras.
