- Page 5 Connecting the CR-D6A To install the CR-D6A, use the included USB cable to connect the card reader to an available USB port on your computer. Once the card reader is connected, the power LED will glow blue. You can attach the device to a USB 2.0 port, but to achieve the maximum read and write rates supported by your memory cards, the CR-D6A must be connected to a computer’s USB 3.0 port.
