4.2 The DC Restore/Clamp Switch
The DC restore/clamp switch is on the rear panel of your Video Splitter-8, as
shown in Figure 3-1 on page 7. Set it to the position which yields the best picture.
For most applications, you'll get a better picture if you set the switch to the
"BLACK" (DOWN) position. In this position, the output video is clamped at 0 VDC
(see Figure 4-2). Some monitors, however, will display a better picture if you set
this switch to the "SYNC TIP" (UP) position, which causes the Splitter-8 to raise the
sync signal above ground/0 VDC (see Figure 4-3).
