Questions and answers
how to connect to view sonic projector
To connect a Yamaha RX-V465 to a ViewSonic projector:
1. Video Connection:
- Connect the video output from your media source (e.g., PC, DVD player) to the projector's VGA or HDMI input using a suitable cable (e.g., VGA or HDMI).
- The RX-V465 does not output video over HDMI, so connect video directly from the source device to the projector.
2. Audio Connection:
- Connect audio from the media source to the RX-V465 using:
- A stereo RCA cable from the source’s headphone jack to the AVR’s analog audio input, or
- A digital optical or coaxial cable if the source and AVR support it.
3. Operation:
- Turn on the media source, RX-V465, and the projector.
- Select the correct input on the RX-V465 and the projector.
No video goes through the RX-V465; it handles audio only. Video is sent directly to the projector.
