Talkgroup Calls

Using Predefined Talkgroups
A Talkgroup is a predetermined group that has
been provisioned by Sprint or an account
administrator. Groups can include up to 200 users
that are in the same Walkie-Talkie network - that is,
users that have the same Walkie-Talkie network ID
and are located in the home market. (The network
ID is the second set of numbers in a Nextel
Walkie-Talkie number. See "Dialing Walkie-Talkie
Numbers" on page 21.)
Before you can make or receive Talkgroup calls, a
Talkgroup must be established. After the Talkgroup
is established, you must join the Talkgroup.
Joining a Talkgroup
When you enable security, you receive a list of
Talkgroups that have been set up for you if you
subscribe to this service. The Talkgroup list is
saved to Contacts.
