    KLEv2 KLEv2 Web Management Interface The Web Management Interface is the main administrative user interface for the KLEv2. This section will go into the detail use and display of this interface. After you have access the Web Manager per instruction on page 12. On each of the sub-section title bar has a Help icon which will provide the detail information on that section.

    KLEv2 Viewers Menu Bar This menu bar provides the daily usage of end user that does not need administrative rights to the KLEv2. This section will go into the detail use of this menu bar and its display. Log into the downloaded Windows' Viewer or Java Viewer and follow the instruction per page 14.

    KLEv2 - Connect: Establish the Virtual Media connection/ mapping. Recommend mapping small file or drive, since time needed to link the file is relative to its size. - Close: Close the Dialog Window in the local system. Note: Closing does not release the link or connection. Information - Connection information: Display network and product setting information on the device.
  • Page 22 KLEv2 Local Cursor There are really two cursors when you are accessing a remote system using a local computer. The default setting is optimized for most situations since the mouse synchronization is rather smooth. When the network bandwidth is very low or your setting for the video resolution is unusual, the mouse sync may be off.

    KLEv2 KCenter Centralized management with KCenter application is supported. With KCenter, IT administrators can easily manage all distributed IP KVMs connected to the LAN or across the Internet. Make sure the Sun Java is installed on your system before starting the installation of KCenter.

    KLEv2 Installation Windows: 1. Run KCenterSetup.exe, and then click Next to start the procedure of installation. 2. Specify a direction of installation, click Next and then Install. 3. The icon of KCenter will be located on the desktop once the installation has been completed.

    KLEv2 Detecting devices The connected devices will be detected and listed in the panel of Detected Devices automatically when starting the program. Two types of devices can be detected, dynamic and static devices respectively. Dynamic Devices: They are devices located on your local network. They can be reached directly without using a gateway.

  • Page 27 KLEv2 The current IP address is displayed. You can change it, as well as the IP mask and the default gateway. You must fill in these three fields to permit full device access. Note: All IP settings modified directly by KCenter are only available before rebooting the device.

Prior setup of the credentials in the Security tab of the Settings panel is required. 2. More than one or all the detected devices can be rebooted in the Group Actions panel.     KLEv2 Group Action This panel allows you to apply some actions to more than one device simultaneously. An action can be performed on all devices or on a subset of selected devices. You can use group actions to reboot devices, upgrade devices, backup and restore device configurations.

    KLEv2 Static Device Management You can manage static devices by clicking on the Static Devices button in the Devices panel or in the Devices menu. The pop-up window below shows the list of configured static devices. Click the corresponding options to add, modify or suppress an existing device. You can specify a static device by entering its host name or dot-decimal IP address.

    KLEv2 Frequently Asked Questions 1. I am able to login with the Application Viewers using the IP and Port Number but unable to login to the browser viewer or Vice versa. The browser viewer port and the application port number is different. Usually the application port is lower and the viewer port is 8 greater.
