Taking Pictures with the Subject Off Center
(Focus Lock)
While A|AF can be used for shots of this type, single-
point centralAF is recommended.

Set the focus.

. Position the AF frame over
your subject and press the
shutter button down
halfway.
i When the subject is in
focus, the green indicator

. Take care that the distance from the camera to the
subject does not change. lf the distance does change,
lock the focus again.
. When you are shooting in remote control GAEIIEED
mode, the focus remains locked for approximately 4
minutes after you lock the focus in step 1, even if you
release the shutter button. This gives you time to set
the focus beforehand, compose the shot, and then
take the picture.
