Hitachi recognizes that few companies offer HDTV or SDTV signal generators and that the cost of these generators is sometimes prohibitive. For this reason, we suggest the use of a set-top-box for HDTV and SDTV adjustments.

    Disassembly Instructions for Light Box 53SDX20BB does NOT have a removeable lightbox Model: 53FDX20B and 53SDX20B Only STEP INSTRUCTIONS IMAGE Remove the Front Speaker Grille. Pull the Speaker Grille off by placing your hand behind the outside corners and pulling straight out.
  • Page 51 STEP INSTRUCTIONS IMAGE Remove the 2 screws that are noted by the arrows on the left side. Do the same thing for the Right side. Now move to the back of the PTV. The back cover and the lower rear board must be removed.
  • Page 52 STEP INSTRUCTIONS IMAGE To remove the Back Cover, remove the 18 screws all around it. Use extreme caution here, as the mirror is fragile and when the last screw is removed, the back can fall down and damage the mirror. Use additional help and allow them to hold the back cover while removing the last screw.

Pull the Speaker Grille off by placing your hand behind the outside corners and pulling straight out. The Speaker Grille is held in place by Velcro.
