MAINTENANCE
GRIP SHIFT
INSTALLING THE GRIP SHIFT ™
1. Slide the assembly of the Grip Shift™ over the left handlebar leaving the suitable space for the handle.
If necessary, move the brake lever to accommodate the Grip Shift™ and handlebars.
2. Rotate the assembling until the cable exits underneath the brake lever with the proper clearance to
move the brake lever.
3. Securely tighten the screw. The twisting torque of the system should be 20 inch-lbs / 2.25 N.m.
4. Slide the plastic washers on the handlebar. The washers prevent the handle to interfere with the ro-
tation of the Grip Shift™.
5. Slide the grip on the handlebar. Pass the wire inside the cable through the cable spirals and the frame,
tighten to the derailleur.
Make sure the cable is in the V-groove in the derailleur tightening screw. If you need to cut the spiral
cable, make sure you put the terminal back the extremity of the spiral.
PLASTIC WASHER
6. Adjust with the forefinger.
7. Slide the back Grip Shift over the right side of the handlebar and repeat steps 2-6.
8. Operate the front and rear brake levers to ensure that they work properly. If the Grip Shift™ interferes
with the movement of the brake lever, turn the brake lever or the Grip Shift™. Recheck if the brake lever
works properly.

HEADSET
INSPECTION
The headset bearing adjustment should be inspected every month. It is important because the headset is
what blocks the fork in the frame and, if released, can cause damage or an accident. While standing over
the frame top tube with both feet on the ground, press the front brake firmly and push the bike back and
forth, if you notice a certain lack of firmness in the headset, you should adjust it. Make sure the headset
is not too tight to the fork by slowly turning to the right and left. If the fork tends to stop or stall at some
point, the bearings are too tight.

// USER'S MANUAL
GRIP
Cables and housing are one of the most overlooked parts on the bicycle.
The first indication that your cables and housing need to be replaced
is an increased amount of pressure needed to operate the brakes or
shifters. Before every ride, check that there are no kinks or frays in the
cables and housing. Also check that the housing is seated properly into
FOLD
each cable stop of the bicycle. It is recommended that the cables and
housing are replaced at least every riding season to prolong the life of
your bike.
