- Page 2 INSTALLATION AND OPERATION INSTRUCTIONS FUNCTIONAL DESCRIPTION The FBR-1FE1FX-SFP-MINI operates as one half of a transceiver pair for the transmission of bi- directional Ethernet data, over one or two multimode or single-mode fiber/s. The unit uses industry standard Small Form-Factor, Pluggable (SFP) modules for connecting to the fiber media. A proper Aventura Technologies approved SFP module is selected by the customer to accommodate the type and number of fibers, as well as the transmission distance.
