    Quick Reference Guide SCIBORG 825K 2-WAY PAGER FUNCTIONS (S) stands for a short press, while (L) means a long press. indicates the icon blinks ON/OFF. stands for a 2-digit number icon that will appear. After pressing any pager button, if the icon disappears, you are either out of range or RF noise is interfering with the pager signal.

    SYSTEM OPERATION Lock & Arm To ARM your 825K system and automatically lock the doors, press the but- ton on your pager or transmitter. If all zones were secured when you pressed button, the siren will then chirp once and your vehicle’s lights (hazard or parking) will flash once.
  • Page 9: Automatic Starter Kill (Ask)

    Automatic Starter Kill (ASK). The 825K can be programmed to auto immobilize the starter 30 seconds after you turn off the ignition. See line 10 on page 12. Door Lock/Unlock Only Doors may be remotely locked or unlocked without arming or disarming the security system.

    Remote Start Failure. If the engine fails to start initially, the 825K will retry 3 more times. If the 825K fails to start the engine after 4 attempts, the start- system will stop and the LCD pager will display the icon.
  • Page 11: Sensor Input Power

    Press for a short duration to deactivate Timed Auto Start. (If is displayed on the LCD pager, first press , then press Sensor Input Power Power to external sensors (like the included shock sensor) is automatically cut when the 825K is disarmed, except during remote start. During remote start, sensor input signals are ignored (bypassed) to avoid triggering the siren.
  • Page 12: Remote Trunk Release (Channel#1)

    Remote Trunk Release (CHANNEL#1) While the 825K is disarmed, you can automatically pop your trunk lid (if so installed) by pressing the button for more than 2 seconds. Hazard/parking lights will flash 3 times, and the LCD pager will beep 3 times. The icon will appear on the pager when the trunk finally opens.

    TIP: You can adjust the siren chirp duration. See page 12, line 6. NOTE: Even in Stealth Alert mode, the siren will still go off in Panic Mode or Anti Car Jack Mode. Car Locator Function Press and release the buttons to flash your vehicle’s hazard/park- ing lights 6 times and hear the siren chirp 6 times as an aid to locating your vehicle in a crowded or dark parking lot.

    NOTE: In the event the ignition switch triggers the 825K, the siren will blast for 30 seconds and then stop for 7 seconds. If the ignition switch is still on, the siren will go off for another 30 seconds. This cycle will repeat until the ignition switch is turned off.

    Valet / Car Maintenance Mode Valet mode allows you to safely offer your car keys to a valet or car mainte- nance person without worry the siren will go off. You can also use this mode to lock and unlock the doors or pop the trunk without arming or disarming the security system.

    Transmitter / Pager Learning. The 825K can be programmed to recognize up to 4 remote control units. To add a pager or transmitter to your system, en- sure that the vehicle’s engine is not running and the 825K is disarmed and then follow these steps: Press and hold the Program Switch for about 6 seconds, and release the button when the siren chirps 4 times.

    Programmable Features Explained (1) Determines how long the 825K runs the engine before shutting it down. (2) Engine auto starts at selected temperature — runtime determined by (1). (3) Remote Start engine crank duration. If engine fails to start, the system will automatically extend the preset crank duration and try again, up to 3 more times.

    Pager Battery Replacement If the icon appears on the LCD pager, it is time to replace the battery. The battery icon may flash and the pager may beep 6 times when the battery is just about to die. Replace the battery as soon as possible with a fresh (+)1.5v AAA Alkaline.
