  • Page 6 How to read the moon phase indicator The moon phase shows us the number of days since a new moon. This indication is shown between “0” and “29.5” (the number of days it takes for the moon to complete its cycle). The moon phase indication on this watch should be used as an approximate representation only.

    Adjusting the time Pull the crown out to position 2 when the Crown position second hand indicates “0.” 0 1 2 Adjust the time by rotating the crown. • The 24-hour, hour and date movement are linked with Crown the minute hand. The date advances only and does not move in a backwards fashion.

    Adjusting the reference (0) position of the moon phase indicator Adjust the reference (0) position of the moon phase indicator. • Be sure to reset the chronograph to “0” as shown on page 15 of this instruction prior adjusting the reference (0) position of the moon phase indicator. Pull the crown out to position 2.

Press and release the upper right button ( B ) to start timing. The chronograph second hand starts timing. Stop timing at the point one kilometer away from the starting point by pressing and releasing the upper right button ( B ).

    Recharging your watch This watch has a rechargeable cell which is charged by exposing the dial to light such as direct sunlight or fluorescent lamps. For optimal performance: • Expose the watch with the dial towards direct sunlight for several hours at least once a month.

  • Page 35 Keep your watch clean • Keep your watch clean to prevent rust or dirt building up as this may stain your clothes, damage the watch or appear as black residue on your wrist. Depending on use, occasional cleaning of the exterior of your watch may be necessary.

    Your watch needs an inspection once every two or three years for safety and longer usage. To keep your watch water-resistant, the gaskets and other components need to be replaced regularly. Other parts need to be inspected and replaced if necessary. Always ask for genuine Citizen parts upon replacement.
