4.1.7 Updating Firmware

This chapter includes instructions for updating the printer fi rmware. You can update the printer fi rmware by
using one of the following methods :
• Update the fi rmware by using the USB port.
• Update the fi rmware by using the network.
4.1.7.1 Update the fi rmware by using the USB port
[Upgrading preparations]
- usblist2.exe : Tool which sends fi rmware data to printer.
- Firmware fi le to upgrade
[Upgrade Procedure]
1. Turn the machine off.
2. Connect USB cable to printer.
3. Turn the machine on. Check if the printer is the ready status.
4. Drag the fi rmware fi le and Drop down on the usblist2.exe.
And then fi rmware update will be started automatically.
5. When upgrading is completed, machine is automatically re-booting.
