Abnormal Status Messages (alphabetical order)
MESSAGE
Bad Agent/Not permitted
Bad APN info
Bad Service Ctr. Nr
Bad Telephone Nr.

supported.
Connection error
Data sending error
DynDNS Failed. Use IP
Enter PIN Password
DESCRIPTION
The dyndns service rejects
IP update request.
APN parameters are not
acceptable.
The GSM system rejects
the SMS service center
number.
The SMS number is not
acceptable for the D-
500/700 device.
Or the GSM system rejects
the SMS number.
An unrecognized SMS
command is received.
The dyndns service does
not answer IP update
request.
The D-500/700 device will
reattempt IP update.
Communication errors in
IP network. May occur
when the signal strength is
low or GSM system is
overloaded.
The central monitoring
(Rainbow Scada) server is
using the dyndns service
and the dns address of the
server cannot be resolved.
Sim card has PIN
protection and correct pin
is not programmed in the
D-500/700 device.

REMEDY
Check end reenter correct
parameters using the RainbowPlus
program,
Communication>GSM>Dynamic
DNS tab area.
Check end reenter correct APN
parameters using the RainbowPlus
program, Communication>GSM
tab.
Either the service center number of
the Sim card or service center
program parameter is faulty.
Enter the correct Service Center
No parameter using the
RainbowPlus program,
Communication>GSM tab.
Check end reenter correct
message number parameters
using the RainbowPlus program,
Communication>GSM tab.
Send correct SMS command as
explained in the SMS COMMANDS
section of this document.
If the message is not repeated then
do not carry.
Turn the DC power off, wait 10
seconds and turn the power on
again.
Relocate the antenna to a better
reception place.
Try other GSM operators.
This error is not critical and may
occur momentarily.
Check and correct Rainbow Server
address parameters using the
RainbowPlus program,
Communication>IP Settings tab
area.
Check end reenter correct GSM
Sim Card PIN No parameter using
the RainbowPlus program,
Communication>GSM tab.
