MACHINES AND ACCESSORIES 5 DESCRIPTION OF THE CONTROLS 5.1 On and off switches The command buttons of the sander are positioned on the machine body, on the side of the abrasive disc (Figure 4); The green button (I), is used to start the sander. By pressing this button, the electric motor is powered and both of the abrasive tools are set in rotation (belt and disc).
MACHINES AND ACCESSORIES 6 MACHINE SAFETY DEVICES 6.1 Electrical safety devices The control device inserted in the electrical circuit of the sander is a magnetic switch with two buttons (see Section 10 of this manual). This prevents the danger of unwanted and/or accidental starts of the machine, since the switch can only be activated through a voluntary action suitable for the given purpose and when the machine is powered.
MACHINES AND ACCESSORIES 6.2 "Mechanical" Safety Devices These prevent contact with the moving parts of the machine such as the electric motor, the drive belt and the part of the abrasive tools. Checking the safety devices Each time the sander is used, check that the guards function and are positioned properly. ...
MACHINES AND ACCESSORIES 7 ASSEMBLY 7.1 Assembly of the stop - piece support Place the stop - piece support (A) Split washer Flat screw on the belt and then secure it with Support locking Hex screw the screw (B) and the two washers screw supplied, as shown in Figure 6.

Before fully tightening the lever (E), adjust the distance between the edge of the table and the abrasive disc. In this regard, insert a feeler gauge of approximately 2 mm between the two parts or any item with this thickness.
MACHINES AND ACCESSORIES 8 INSTALLATION Loss of stability Install the Sander on a solid and durable surface, such as a workbench, to prevent it from tipping and causing vibrations. Clean the Workbench Before installing the machine, clean the workbench of any materials and dirt that may be present.
Page 21
MACHINES AND ACCESSORIES 2. Secure the machine to the bench with two bolts using the fastening holes on the base (Figure 10). Figure 10 – Close-up of fastening holes. In the case of using a steel bench, it is advisable to place between the sander and the supporting surface a layer of material which is able to reduce the vibrations produced.
MACHINES AND ACCESSORIES 9 COMMISSIONING 9.1 Assembling the abrasive disc Unexpected start-up Before starting the assembly of the abrasive disc, always disconnect the machine from the power outlet. Use of PPE Before starting the assembly of the abrasive disc, always wear suitable protective gloves. 1.
MACHINES AND ACCESSORIES 9.2 Assembling the abrasive belt Unexpected start-up Before starting the assembly of the abrasive belt, always disconnect the machine from the power outlet. Use of PPE Before starting the assembly of the abrasive belt, always wear suitable protective gloves. Stamped inside the abrasive belt is an arrow indicating the correct direction of rotation of the belt.
