Thank you for purchasing our product! This guide contains
information to install and configure the 10/100 Mbps Fast
EtherCard-32 for proper operation.

Hardware Description

Before you insert the Fast EtherCard-32 into your machine,
please verify if your notebook supports the CardBus standards
and provides the Type II or Type III Slot.
This CardBus PC card's main PCB board is encased in a
stainless compact frame that is easily transportable. It contains
a 68-pin connector for connecting to the PC and a 15-pin flat
connector for attaching the RJ-45 media coupler. You can use
the RJ-45 connector to connect your PC to the Ethernet
network.

  • Page 2 Transmit/Receive Activity Indicator Color: Yellow Function: Indicates incoming and outgoing network traffic The Transmit/Receive LED on the adapter’s media coupler lights up to indicate the presence of network packets passing through the connected port. The rate of flashing is proportional to the amount of network traffic.

    Hardware Installation Select an empty CardBus PC Card slot and insert the 10/100 Mbps Fast EtherCard-32 into that slot as shown below. 68-pin connector 15-pin connector Inserting the Fast EtherCard-32 into a CardBus PC Card Slot Connect your PC Card to the network using RJ-45 cable.

    Notes: The card auto-negotiates the speed of the network to which it is attached, providing seamless operation on either 10 or 100 Mbps network segments. It supports full-duplex communications, allowing data to be sent and received simultaneously, doubling the effective throughput. Refer to the readme files on the driver diskette for information on setting the transmission mode.
