  • Page 2 DESCRIPTION FTR970 is a radio data receiver for Nokeval MTR series wireless transmitters. It receives and buffers the data packets that wireless transmitters have sent. It automatically recognizes the types of the transmitters, so different kinds of transmitters can be used simultaneously. Transmitters can also have different transmission intervals.
  • Page 3 INSTALLING Connections DC jack 1 2 3 4 8...30 VDC Power The supply voltage 8...30 VDC is connected using 1.3 mm DC jack (centre connector positive) or by using detachable screw post connector terminals 1 (+) and 2 (-). Both supply voltage connec- tors are internally connected.
  • Page 4 RS-232 bus is not recommended because it is easily disturbed by EMI and maximum cable length is only 15m in good conditions. RS-485 is recommended for longer ranges. FTR970 has also a USB connector but its use is not supported because USB connector cannot be inserted through the cable gland.
