causes and solutions, please contact your servicing dealer.
Problem
Possible Cause
Engine will not start
Bad or old fuel mix
Ignition switch is turned off
Spark plug wire disconnected
Improper starting procedure
Solution
Make sure the unit has fresh fuel (less than 30 days old) and correct
2-cycle oil mix.
Make sure the ignition switch (D) is in the start position "I", see Fig.
1.
Make sure the spark plug wire is properly connected. With the igni-

plug boot is pushed completely down on the spark plug, see Fig. 2.
Follow correct starting procedure:
Starting Cold Engine
1) Turn ignition switch (D) on by moving switch to the start position

2) Slowly push the primer bulb (C) 6 to 8 times, see Fig. 1.
3) Pull the choke lever (E) out to the full choke position, see Fig. 1.
4) Depress the compression relief valve (F), see Fig. 3. The com-
pression relief valve will automatically reset after the first firing of
the engine.
5) Pull the starter rope rapidly until the engine attempts to start or
starts momentarily.
6) Push the choke lever (C) completely in to the run position, see
Fig. 1.
7) Pull starter rope rapidly until engine starts.
8) Once the engine is running accelerate with the throttle (I), to
release the half-throttle lock device, see Fig. 4.
Starting Warm Engine
1) Turn ignition switch (D) on by moving switch to the start position
"I", see Fig. 1.
2) Depress the compression relief valve (F), see Fig. 3. The com-
