Location and Google search allows Google to use your location data for improved
search results and other services.
Using Google Maps
1. Press

2. Tap the magnification icons to zoom in or out of the current map view. If the
magnification icons aren't displayed, use the spread and pinch gestures to zoom in and
out.
3. Tap
to use other Google Map features.
4. Choose from: Clear Map, Make available offline, Settings (Display, Offline and
cache, Location settings, Labs, What's New, About, Feedback, Terms, Privacy &
Notices), or Help.
Search for a Keyword
1. Press

2. Tap
Search Maps.
3. Enter your search terms and tap
This keyword can be a category name (such as pizza, steak, burger), a business
name (Samsung), or a Google friend who is sharing their location.
4. Tap RESULTS LIST to see a detailed list of information corresponding to those matches
now displayed on your screen with lettered pins.

Latitude

Latitude is another Google Maps service that allows you to share your location information with
selected friends. The Latitude service is accessible through the Google Maps app. See
Maps
for details on setting up and using the app.

2. From the Maps main screen, touch the Maps icon in the top left corner, and then touch
Latitude.
3. Touch Share location with family or friends.
4. Touch Agree & Continue.
