Keep
your detergentfresh
and
dry. Under the sink isn'ta good
place to store detergent. Toomuch

detergentinto the dispenser until
you'reready to wash dishes, either.
(It won'tbe fresh OR dry.)
If your powder detergentgets okl
or lumpy, throw it tiway.
It
won't

won'tdissolve.
If you use a liquid dishwasher
detergent, these precautions are not
necessary because liquid detergents
don't "lump" as they age or come
in contact with water.
You'llfind two detergent
dispensers on the inside door of
your dishwasher.Two, because
some cycles use two washes.
See "Detergent UsageGuide'' below.

How to prepare
the CMM?sfor
washing
If this is your first dishwasher,or
if you'rereplacing a much older
model, you may wonder how much
preparation your dishes need.
Actually very little. Pre-rinsing of
normal food soils is not necessary.
With common sense and a little
practice, you'llsoon know what
foods to remove. Here are some
guidelines:
L Scrape off bones, seeds, skins,
toothpicks and other hard solids. It
is also best to remove hard-shelled
vegetables, meat trimmings, leafy
vegetablesand crusts. Remove
excessivequantities of oil or grease.

food. Yourdishwasherhas a built-in
sofi fooddisposerthat pulverizes
softfoodbits and flushesthem away.
It can handle
small
amountsof
soft foods, but large amountswill
be difficultto handle.
3. Try to removefood scraps and
place dishes in dishwasherbefore
soils havea chance to dry and
become hard. Dishes with dried-on
soil are more difficultto wash and

your RINSE ONLY cyclefor small
"holding" loads.
Note: The foods mentioned here
are examplesonly.Other foods not
mentioned may also need to be
removedfrom your dishes. You
may also want to consider removing
foods such as mustard, mayonnaise,
vinegar, lemonjuice and other
foods that can cause discoloration
of stainless steel if allowedto
remain on dishes for a long period
of time.
When using the POTSCRUBBER
cyck7less preparation is required
