If p roblem persists, ve rify proper operation of Internal Bypass Valve
and Thermal Gove rnor, and check for Hea t Exchange r blo ckage.

OK and pressure tap
is not b locked. Re-
place Pressure Switch
AFS "on"

Verify that wire s BM
and F1 a re corre ctly
conn ected at the
terminal stri p ( see
Heater Connecti on
Diag ram, Page 30) .

an d F2 from Ignition
Control Module and
short them together.
Does Blower come
on ?
YES
THERMISTOR "on"
Do not jumper a safety switch to
reme dy a faile d switch.

Verify th at wate r flow rate is
above minimum requ ired fo r
heater.

Verify th at inlet wa ter temper-
ature is be low 104 ˚ F.
Verify th at wate r flow rate is
above minimum requ ired fo r
heater.

Adjust Wate r Pressure Switch to clo se with pu mp run ning and open with
pump off.

Disconnect B lowe r a nd che ck

for line vol tage between pins
1 and 3 of Blower Con nector
on ignition try.
Check fo r 24 VAC between

24 VAC and GND terminals
on Igniti on Con trol Module on
ignition try. Check that IND

wire is correctly co nnected.
Verify correct
conne ction of wiring be tween
2 4 VAC and IND terminals on
Ignition Control Mod ule and
Control Boar d, and rep lace
Control Boar d.
Co nnect correctly and retry.

Replace Blower. Doe s Blower
NO
start on ignition try?
Replace Igniti on Con trol
Modul e.
Verify Ther misto r wirin g. If
OK, replace Thermisto r.

Se rvice pump and filter to
re store proper flow. After ser-
vicing, verify prop er operation
of Pressu re Switch (PS).
Replace thermistor or Contro l
Bo ard to correct overhe ating .
Se rvice pump and filter to
re store proper flow.

Verify that there is no block-
ag e in Blower intake, Heat
Exchanger, an d exha ust and
that exha ust is not too lo ng
(see "Indoor Vent Installa tion",
Pa ge 23.
Verify correct connection of
wiring and that pressure taps
to AFS are OK .
Verify that vinyl tub ing to AFS
an d Blower is not misrouted,
kinked, di sconnecte d, or
pu nctured.
Replace A ir Flow Switch
(A FS).
If pro blem p ersists, r eplace
Bl ower.
