Troubleshooting
Problem
Sprayer sprays with poor results
Paint leaks from sprayer trigger area.
Battery is discharged but charger still
displays green light when battery is
inserted.
Battery does not last long.
Spray Pattern Diagnostics
Problem
Spray pattern is pulsating:
Spray pattern has tails:

Cause
Tip is partially clogged
Tip is not in correct position
Incorrect tip for application of
material.
Tip filter is partially clogged or dam-
aged.
Suction Tube screen is partially
clogged.
Tip is worn or damaged
Material being sprayed is aerated
because it was shaken.
Pressure control is too low or Hi/Lo
switch is in Lo range
Material being sprayed is too cold to
spray.
Inlet or outlet valves are worn.
Sprayer has reached its maximum life.
Damaged battery.
Battery life varies with material, tip size,
pressure, and speed setting.
Cause
Operator is moving too fast while spraying.
Hi/Lo switch is in Lo range.
Tip or tip filter is clogged.
Pressure control is too low.
Incorrect tip for application of
material.
Material not compatible with sprayer.
Inlet or outlet valves are worn.
Solution

Rotate tip to SPRAY position.

Clean or replace filter. See page 16.
Clean or replace Suction Tube. See
page 17.
Replace tip. See Install Tip/Guard

Do NOT shake material. Stir the mate-
rial or check the manufacturer's recom-
mendation for the material being
sprayed.
Turn up pressure control or shift Hi/Lo
switch to hi range.
Warm material.

Replace sprayer.
Replace battery.

Solution
Slow speed of movement.
Shift Hi/Lo switch to Hi range.
Unclog tip or clean tip filter, page 16.
Turn up pressure control.

Switch material.
