The rear panel of you CS18AI contains the audio IO, Ethernet AVB connection, USB connection for
firmware updates, a 4-pin XLR lamp jack, and the power inlet and switch. For complete details refer
to the User Manual, which is available as a downloadable PDF in your MyPreSonus account.
Mic/Line inputs. These two combo XLR/TRS jacks feature remote XMAX preamps and balanced line
inputs. By default input 1 is routed as the talkback source for the RM mixer. Input 2 is not routed by
default.
Line inputs. These two balanced TRS jacks provide additional line inputs for other sources from FOH
such as 2-track or computer playback. By default these inputs are routed to the stereo digital return
of the RM mixer.
Monitor outputs. These two XLR jacks are fed from the monitor source as selected in the Monitor
section of the CS18AI. The level is controlled from the Monitor knob in the Monitor section. By
default they are sourced from the RM mixer's solo buss.
Footswitch. This ¼" jack accepts a momentary footswitch to control assigned functions. By default
the footswitch controls the Tap Tempo or it can also be assigned to FX Mute, Record start/stop, drop
marker, load selected scene, or Talkback.
