Capture control

5
Capture is designed specifically for live multitrack recording. With features like automatic prerecord, session
lock, auto-save, and disk monitoring you can rest easy knowing your recording is safe. When setup up with
Control from your CS18AI you'll have direct access to transport controls, markers, and virtual sound check.
Transport. The Record, Play, Stop, and Return to Zero buttons pretty much do what you'd expect.
Thanks to the session lock feature in Capture you can't accidently stop your recording. In order to
stop the recording you need to press the record button to unlock the session and then hold down
the record button while pressing stop.
Markers. You can drop markers in Capture right from your CS18AI. First press the Markers button to
open the Markers view in the touch screen then press the Markers button a second time to drop a
marker. A new marker will be created and the Market edit view will appear. You can choose change
the default name of the marker or just press done or navigate to another page to move on and keep
the default name.
Virtual Sound Check. This is a great feature to setup you mix in a new venue before the band even
shows up. To access Virtual Sound Check go to the Home screen and select Capture Virtual Sound
Check.
From this screen you can turn Virtual Sound Check on/off and choose the
session to load for your sound check.
