Connecting an external monitor

An analog monitor is connected to the analog external monitor port (VGA), a digital
monitor to the Display Port or to the DVI-D monitor port (see overview below).
Display output is limited to a maximum of two monitors at any one time (see

► Switch off the notebook and the external monitor.
► Plug the data cable of the external monitor into the desired monitor port.
► First switch on the external monitor and then the notebook.
You can also switch back and forth between the external monitor and the LCD
screen of the notebook, see chapter
You can display the same picture on the external monitor and the
notebook LCD screen simultaneously.
