Setting the Tone
TONE: Turn the control behind the ON/VOL knob
clockwise to emphasize the treble and counterclockwise
to emphasize the bass.
Adjusting the Speakers
BAL: Pull out the ON/VOL knob. Turn the knob to
move the sound to the left or right speakers. The middle
position balances the sound between the speakers.
Using the Timer
TIMER: The timer in your radio can be used to set
a time from 15 minutes to three hours with an alarm
sounding when the time expires.
To set the timer, press the timer button. The timer
symbol and 0:00 will be lighted on the display. With
each press of the button, the time increases.
When the timer expires, an alarm will sound for two
minutes. When the timer is set back to 0:00, the timer
symbol will disappear from the display.
Using the Alarm
ALARM: The alarm in your radio can be used to
activate an alarm at a desired time.
To set the timer, press the DISP button to switch the
display to ALARM. Press the alarm button while the
alarm symbol is flashing. The letter A will illuminate in
the display.
After setting an alarm time the same way as setting the
clock, wait until the current time is indicated. Then press
the alarm button. The alarm symbol will appear in the
display. Once set, the alarm will sound at the same time
each day.
To make sure of the alarm set time, press the DISP
button. To discontinue the alarm, press the alarm
button again.
