cI' (Protect): Preventing accidental erasure

Protects images against accidental erasure. The
o-n
(Protect) indicator appears on a protected
image.

(This Image)
Protects/unlocks the currently selected image.
• This item appears only in single-image mode.

(Multiple Images)
Selects and protects/unlocks multiple images.
To protect an image
CD
Select the images you want to protect while displaying images in single-image mode.

Press the MENU button.

Select [Protect] with AlT on the control button, [This Image] with
~/~,
and then press •.
To select and protect images
CD
Press the MENU button while displaying images in single-image mode or in index mode.

Select [Protect] with AlT, and select [Multiple Images] with
~/~,
then press •.
In single-image mode:
@
Select the image you want to protect with
~/~,
then press •.
The
V
is attached to the selected image.

Press
~/~
to display other images you want to protect, then press •.

Press the MENU button.

Select [OK] with ., then press •.
In index mode:

Select the image you want to protect with
./T/~/~,
then press •.
The

is attached to the selected image.

To protect other images, repeat step

To select all the images of a date/folder/favorites, select the bar with

then press •.

Press the MENU button.

Select [OK] with ., then press •.
• Note that the formatting erases all the data stored on the recording media, even if the images are protected,
and these images cannot be restored.
• It may take some time to protect an image.
