Press the shutter-release button halfway,
stopping when you
feel
resistance.

When the camera detects a face:
The camera focuses on the area framed
by the yellow double border (focus
area). Once focus has been acquired,
the double border turns green.
When the camera does not detect a
face:
The camera automatically focuses
using the focus area (one of nine)
containing the subject closest to the
camera. Once focus has been acquired,
[ ] (focus area) glows green.
If the focus area blinks red, the camera
will be unable to focus. Change the
composition and press the shutter-
release button halfway again.

Flash lamp
Flash lamp
The status of the flash can be checked by pressing the shutter-release button halfway.

If the battery is low, the monitor will turn off, and remain off, while the flash charges.
3.2
Smoothly press the shutter-release button the rest of the way
down to take the picture.
Do not use force when pressing the shutter-release button, as this may
cause camera shake, resulting in blurred pictures.
