1 Select ON by pressing the F, f, G or g button.
Highlight ON by pressing the F, f, G or g button. ON
blinks in green.
Select OFF to make printouts without a
caption.
2 Press the EXEC button.
The display changes from OFF to ON.
The display changes from OFF to ON.

After entering the caption, highlight EXIT by
pressing the F, f, G or g button, then press the
EXEC button.
The entered characters are stored in memory.
The LAYOUT SETUP menu appears.

Press the MENU button.
Note
Characters entered in steps 4 to 7 are stored after
completing the operation of step 7. These characters
remain even after you turn off the printer.

Making Printouts with a Date

Display the LAYOUT SETUP menu according to
the operation in step 1 described in "Selecting the
memory mode" on page 30.

Select DATE PRINT by pressing the F or f button.
Highlight DATE PRINT in green by pressing the

Decide whether or not printouts will be printed with
a date by pressing G or g button.
Highlight desired setting in green by pressing the

Press the MENU button.
The normal screen appears.
Note
The date is printed on the bottom right of the printout. If
the date and any printed comments overlap, the
comment is printed with priority over the date.

The day and time setting is necessary.
