The Home page

Once you have logged in successfully to the Gigaset SE681 WiMAX, you will see the
Home page for the device software. The start screen offers an overview of all areas of
the configuration program:
Menu
Basic Setup Wizard
Advanced Settings
Status
In the area to the right of the start screen, you will see the connection status of your
Gigaset SE681 WiMAX:

connected = The Gigaset SE681 WiMAX has established a radio connection with a
WiMAX network. You will see the connection duration in brackets and in the format
ddd:hh:mm:ss (d=days, h=hours, m=minutes, s=seconds).

disconnected = The Gigaset SE681 WiMAX is trying to establish a connection with
a WiMAX network.
To configure your Gigaset SE681 WiMAX, use the Basic Setup Wizard, which will help
you establish a radio connection.
Connecting to the Internet manually
Once you have configured your Internet access (see page 26 and page 33), you can
establish a manual connection to the Internet on the start screen if you have selected
Connect on demand as the Connection mode.
To establish or end an Internet connection manually:

Open the start screen of the Gigaset SE681 WiMAX as described on page 21.
ì
If you have already started the user interface, click the Home tab at the top left of
the window.
ì
Click Connect to establish a connection to the Internet.
ì
Click Disconnect if you no longer require the connection.
