Alarm was triggered during remote start sequence
The
system stores
the
lastlwo fuiliriggers in
memory. These
are not ero.soble. Each
time the unit sees a
full
trigger,
the
older
of the
two
triggel"s in memory is replaced
by
the
new

Startup Diagnostics: If the vehicle fails ro activate the remore start, the remote start
roodule will notify you via your Responder LC3 remote control and will flash the park-
ing
lights on the vehicle to notify
you
of whot caused the no-start situation.

To perform shutdown diagnostics:
1.
With the ignition

press and hold the Control button ton Control Center).

Tum the

while holding
the
Control button.
3.
Release the Control bullon.
4.
Press and release the Control button. The status LED flashes to report
the
last
shutdown for
one
minute

Initializing Virtual Tach (not needed with hordwire tach inputs)
Virtual Tach handles disengaging the starter motor during remote starting - it does
not address over-rev. If the customer wonts to have the over"rev protection capability,
the tach wire must
be
connected
To program Virtual Tach:
1.
Mel" Ihe insklll is complete, remote start
the
engine. The programming
op-
emlion may require 3 cranks of the starter befOle the engine slorts and runs.
Do
nol turn off
fhe
remote start if this happens, il is a normal programming
operation.
2.
Once the engine begins running, let il run for otleost
30
seconds.
3.
Using the Remote, send the Remote starl command to turn remale start off.
Virtual Tach is programmed.
To reset Virtual Tach, go into the Remote Pairing section of this gUide and press/re-
lease the Control button

times for step

then press and hold the Control bullon
to resel Virtual Tach. Virtual Tach cannot
be
reset with the Bilwriter.
Learning the Tach (not needed with Virtual Tach)
Adjusting the Sensor
To learn the
loch
signal:
I.
Start 'he veh;c1e wHh lIle key.
2.
Within
5
seconds, press and
hold the
Control button.
3.
Mer
3
seconds the status LED on your Cootrol Center lights constant when
the loch signal is learned.
4.
Release
the
Control bullon.
Note: Virtual Tach cannot
be
used in MTS Manual Transmission iVIode.
It
is also not
recommended for diesel trucks.

Adiusting
the
sensor:
1.
Press and hold the

and MAIN MENU will appear in
the
Text Display. (If Cor

Release the

button. The remote enters
the
fv'\oin Menu and SETUP REMOTE
appears in the display.

Press and release the {:') button. SENSOR ADJUST appears in the display.

Press and hold the

second. The system will emit

chirp when it enters adjust mode. The remote will beep

times and current
setting will appear in the displ~

Press and release the {:') or

buttons to adjust the setting up/down then
press the
f
button to send the setting to the system.

Aher each adjustment, the sensor sensitivity can
be
tested
by
cautiously impact-
ing the vehicle with increasing intensity. When the siren chirps, the test impact
has reached the level reqUired to fully trigger the alarm.
7.
Repeat steps
5 & 6
until the sensitivity is satisfactory.
Sensor adjust will
be
exited
by:
Pressing the ~ or •
button anytime.
Allowing more than 30 seconds between steps
4, 5, 6.
To exit the shock sensor adjustment mode
from
the control module:
Open on entry point or turn on the ignition, the conrrol module emits one long chirp
exiling odjustment
mode.
Important: Aher successfully learning Virtual Tach, a small minority of
ve-
hicle starters may over cronk or under cronk during remote start. The Bit·
writer can
be
used fine tune the starter outpultime in 50mS increments to
compensate for such an occurrence
