MAINTENANCE CHECKLIST

Prior to First Trip

Install SofStor

Install privacy drapes. (privacy drape option only.)
G
Condition the tent. Refer to Chapter 3.
G
Check LP gas lines for leaks. Refer to Chapter 4
G
Test LP gas detector. Refer to Chapter 4.
G
Sanitize fresh water system. Refer to Chapter 4.
G
Tighten wheel nuts to specified torque values.
G
Open all windows and the door and start the furnace. Leave the windows and
door open and the furnace on until the odor from the inital use of the furnace
is fully dissipated. (Furnace option only.)
First Two-Hundred Miles
G
Tighten wheel nuts to specified torque values.
G
Have brakes adjusted by a qualified service technician.
Each Trip
G
Test LP gas detector. Refer to Chapter 4.
G
Inspect bed bow supports.
G
Check battery water level. (If equipped with battery.)
G
Check brake fluid level in master cylinder reservoir. Keep filled to within ½"
from top of reservoir. (Hydraulic Brake option only.)
G
Check master cylinder cap for tightness. (Hydraulic Brake option only.)
G
Check tire pressure and wear. Make sure the tires are cold when checking the
tire pressure.
G
Check running lights.
G
Inspect safety chains for signs of wear.
G
Test brakes.
After Every Tire Change
G
Tighten wheel nuts to specified torque values at twenty-five miles to assure
they are corectly "seated" after the tire change.
Daily
G
Recharge battery after each use. (If equipped with battery.)
G
Ensure LP gas detector operation light is green in color.

Weekly
G
Test LP gas detector.
G
Check tire pressure and wear. Make sure the tires are cold when checking the
tire pressure.
Monthly
G
Clean and lubricate the coupler.
G
Check fire extinguisher pressure. Do not test the extinguisher.
G
Test the ground fault circuit interrupter (GFCI)
Every Three Months or 3,000 Miles
G
Compare water heater pilot flame with ideal flame. Refer to the water heater
owner's manual for ideal flame. Have cleaned and adjusted as necessary by a
qualified service technician. (Deluxe plumbing option only.)
G
Compare refrigerator pilot flame with ideal flame. Refer to the refrigerator
owner's manual for ideal flame. Have cleaned and adjusted as necessary by a
qualified service technician. (Refrigerator option only.)
G
Inspect refrigerator/ice box door seals.
G
Inspect refrigerator combustion seals. Have any repairs completed by a
qualified service technician. (Refrigerator option only.)
G
Check LP gas lines for leaks. Refer to Chapter 4.
G
Inspect LP cylinders for rust, pits, gouges, scrapes or sharp dents. Repaint
cylinders if rust is present.
G
Clean and lubricate the large seal and cap seal located on the toilet. (Toilet
option only.)
G
Clean the ventilation seal on the toilet. (Toilet option only.)
G
Drain and sanitize fresh water system. Refer to Chapter 4.
G
Check, clean, tighten and lubricate battery cables. (If equipped with battery.)
G
Tighten wheel nuts to specified torque values.
G
Examine the tires for unusual wear, sidewall defects from possible cuts, wear,
bulging and abrasions.
G
Lubricate tongue jack.
G
Lubricate hitch ball.
G
Have brakes adjusted by a qualified service technician.
G
Inspect roof latches for tightness and damage. Adjust to maintain tension and
replace if necessary.
