Problem
A buzzing sound can
be heard after switching
on the appliance,
during operation and
after switching off the
appliance.
After moving house, the
appliance no longer
switches from the
heating-up phase to the
cooking phase.
During operation an
unusually large amount
of steam escapes or
steam escapes from
parts of the steam
combi oven where it
does not usually.
The fascia panel
doesn't open/close
automatically despite
the ? sensor having
been touched several
times.
Possible cause and remedy
Water is being pumped in or drained away.
– This is not a fault. It is made by water being pumped
through the system.
Altitude affects the boiling point of water. If you move
house, the appliance will need to be reset for the new
altitude if this differs from the old one by more than 300
m.
^ To do this, you need to descale the appliance (see
"Cleaning and care / Descaling").
The door is not properly closed.
^ Close the door.
The door seal is not correctly fitted.
^ If necessary, press it in all the way round the door to
make sure it is fitted evenly.
The door seal is damaged, e.g. cracked.
^ Replace the door seal.
There is an obstruction in the fascia panel.
^ Remove the obstruction.
The obstruction sensor is very sensitive, which means
the fascia panel sometimes doesn't open or close.
^ Open/Close the panel manually (see end of this
section). If the problem occurs frequently, call Miele.
