Additional Servicing
Extreme operating conditions
Extreme operating conditions are given
when at least one of the following
occurs frequently:
Repeated short-distance driving
n
less than 5 miles (10 kms).
Extensive idling and/or slow-speed
n
driving in stop-and-go traffic.
Driving on dusty roads.
n
Driving on hilly or mountainous
n
terrain.
Caution
Chevrolet recommends to consult
authorized CHEVROLET retailer
for instructions and vehicle health
check-up before setting out a long
journey.

Towing a trailer.
Driving in heavy city traffic where
n
the outside temperatures regularly
reach 90° F (32°C) or higher.
n
Driving as a taxi, police or delivery
vehicle.
n
Frequent driving when outside
temperature remains below freezing.
Police vehicles, taxis and driving
school vehicles are also classified as
operating under extreme conditions.
Under extreme operating conditions, it
may be necessary to have certain
scheduled service work done more
frequently than the scheduled intervals.
Seek technical advice on the servicing
requirements dependent on the specific
operating conditions.
Service and Maintenance
RECOMMENDED FLUIDS
AND LUBRICANTS
Only use products that have been tested
and approved. Damage resulting from
the use of non approved materials will
not be covered by the warranty.

and also its viscosity. Quality is more
important than viscosity when selecting
which engine oil to use.
