This installation manual will enable you to obtain a safe, efficient and
dependable installation of your fireplace system. Please read and
understand these instructions before beginning your installation.
Do not alter or modify the fireplace or its components under any circum-
stances. Any modification or alteration of the fireplace system, including
but not limited to the fireplace, chimney components and accessories,
may void the warranty, listings and approvals of this system and could
result in an unsafe and potentially dangerous installation.
Lennox Hearth Products wood-burning fireplaces are designed for use
as a supplemental heater. They are not intended for continuous use
as a primary heat source.
The fireplace cannot be operated without a door.
Consult your dealer to select the correct door
model.
Important! To assure proper alignment of glass
doors: Install this fireplace in a square and
plumb condition, using shims as necessary at
sides and/or bottom.
Install the fireplace only as described in these
instructions.

The Villa Vista™ wood fireplace is a clean burning EPA certified fireplace that is designed to provide you dependable service as well as warmth and enjoyment for many years to come.

    Combustion Control There is no flue damper in the Villa Vista fire- place. As is common with air tight stoves, the combustion air damper controls the air enter- ing the firebox. This allows for a more precise control of the fire.

    Refuelling for Best Performance (see Figure 5) To refuel the Villa Vista fireplace at the end of a burn cycle when only hot embers remain and flames are gone (not enough heat to maintain catalyst operating temperatures): Step 1.

    Turning the screw clockwise will increase air tightness. Glass Care - Replacement The glass used for the Villa Vista fireplace is a high temperature ceramic glass (1,400° F / 760° C). If the glass breaks, it must be replaced with a ceramic glass.

When installing the double outlet system, the hot air outlets can be installed in the same room as the fireplace, or one or both of the outlets can be installed in adjacent or upper rooms.
  • Page 14 A furnace duct is only single wall and not double wall as is required for the Villa Vista™ fireplace hot air exhaust. 7. Use only Lennox Hearth Products grills and components as described in this manual. Other grills or registers, for example, may be too restrictive and may overheat the fireplace or ceiling.

    OUTSIDE AIR KIT During operation, the fireplace requires fresh air for combustion and draws air from outside the house. It may starve other fuel burning appliances such as gas or oil furnaces. As well, exhaust fans may compete for air, caus- ing negative pressure in the house, resulting in smoke entering the house from the fireplace.
